Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students (Central)

The Central Sector Scholarship Scheme aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from economically weaker families to support their higher education. Up to 82,000 fresh scholarships are awarded annually for graduate and postgraduate studies, including professional courses such as Medical and Engineering.

Rs. 12,000/- per annum at Graduation level for the first three years of College and University courses, and Rs. 20,000/- per annum at Post Graduation level.

• 1. The applicant should have scored above the 80th percentile of successful candidates in the Class XII examination of the respective Board.
• 2. Family annual income should not exceed Rs. 4.5 lakh per annum.
• 3. Students receiving any other scholarship (including State schemes / fee waiver) shall not be considered.
• 4. Student should be pursuing a regular degree course (not distance education or diploma).
