Prime Minister street vendor's AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PMSVAnidhi) Yojana (Central)

Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs
India

The scheme helps formalise financing for street vendors through collateral-free loans with an interest subsidy. Loans can be used for working capital, business expansion or purchase of assets. The scheme also incentivises digital transactions by vendors through a cash-back facility.

What You Get

  • Collateral-free loan of up to Rs 50,000 with an interest subsidy of 7% per annum on timely/early repayment.
  • Loan amount and tenure:
  • 1st term loan: Rs 5,000-15,000 for 12 months
  • On repaying the first loan, 2nd term loan: Rs 15,000-25,000 for 24 months
  • On repaying the second loan, 3rd term loan: Rs 25,000-50,000 for 36 months
  • On timely or early repayment, the vendor becomes eligible for the next loan cycle with an enhanced limit. The 7% interest subsidy is credited to the borrower's account quarterly (lenders claim for quarters ending June 30, September 30, December 31 and March 31); in case of early repayment, the admissible subsidy is credited in one go.
