Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA)

Provides wage-employment opportunities to rural households and supports community assets such as water conservation, land development and other approved public works.

Up to 100 days of guaranteed wage employment per financial year for eligible rural households, subject to the Act and applicable rules.

Adult members of rural households willing to undertake unskilled manual work who apply for registration and employment under the scheme.

Job card or job-card application, household and identity details, photographs and bank/post-office account details as required.
